g'day you ugly bugger.
i think you should stop posting photos of yourself with other people because it really does accentuate how incredibly short you are. hehe.
finally found the blog (wasn't looking actually), glad your bike arrived. thanks for taking the time to post stuff on your blog cos it gives me a chance to live vicariously, and i realise how much you dislike having to do the diary thing...
at the moment it appears that i might even get to canada by may/june. will keep you posted.
all the best, mate, and watch out for camera theives. and colombian drug lords.
remember to ride softly and carry a big iron bar ;).
Sounds like you are having a great time doing things i could not even dream of.
We had a nice day today; went to church and listened to the brother have a great sermon about a christian perpective of the environment...maybe he should publish it on your famous blogg..
Anyway i don't know if this thing works, so hopefully you get the message.
Hey Eric Good to hear from you!Argentina has already been way above my expectations and I have only just begun. You should come out here one time (I might even join you..)
I´m still trying to work which iron bar to carry this time... Say hi to some random people from me. Bruce
Great to hear from you too. I hope you are enjoying you time off before uni starts up again.
My Sundays, while rather quiet, have been a little random lately but I expect to fall into more routines once I get out and away from Buenos Aires. That said I´ll have to get hold of Steve´s sermon..
G´day. Thanks for the feedback which I enjoy reading. Sorry, that I can´t always give a personal reply. Doing a solo trip like this is an awesome experience but it is also great being able to share. By the way, you now don´t need a google account any more to leave a comment on this blog.. Cheers Bruce.
So far... (1st August) 25 000kms Mechanically, the Vstrom has lived up to it´s reputation as a reliable bike. Most parts I have needed were due to the result with the argument with a largish rock in Bolivia..
4 general services (oil, filters etc. straightening out bent bits like the centre stand and the bash plate which gets a hammering..) 1 rear tyre 2 front tyres 1 front rim 1 footpeg 1 Brake lever 2 turn signal bulbs Speedo sensor (unable to replace yet so no speedo/odometer..) bunch of cans of chain lube..
