It´s Uruguay dude, I´m from Rosario (about 360 km from Buenos Aires). I recently read your post about your cammera. This country is like any other, you have to look for yourself all the time. My english is very poor, sorry about that. Have a nice ride.
G´day. Thanks for the feedback which I enjoy reading. Sorry, that I can´t always give a personal reply. Doing a solo trip like this is an awesome experience but it is also great being able to share. By the way, you now don´t need a google account any more to leave a comment on this blog.. Cheers Bruce.
So far... (1st August) 25 000kms Mechanically, the Vstrom has lived up to it´s reputation as a reliable bike. Most parts I have needed were due to the result with the argument with a largish rock in Bolivia..
4 general services (oil, filters etc. straightening out bent bits like the centre stand and the bash plate which gets a hammering..) 1 rear tyre 2 front tyres 1 front rim 1 footpeg 1 Brake lever 2 turn signal bulbs Speedo sensor (unable to replace yet so no speedo/odometer..) bunch of cans of chain lube..
